As a CDD Analyst, you will be part of the FEC Service Centre Wholesale and Rural team in the Netherlands. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with various regulations for Wholesale NL, aiming to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing, and to protect the bank's reputation.


You and your role

You coordinate and facilitate Client Onboarding, Periodic, or Event-driven CDD reviews on behalf of the Commercial Teams. As a Medior CDD Analyst for Rabobank (brand) Wholesale (WR), you are responsible for the end-to-end FEC process for new or existing clients throughout their entire lifecycle within the bank.


In this role, it is essential to be resilient. You must be able to prioritize effectively, remain critical, and collaborate constructively. This requires a combination of persistence and a strong sense of timing.

• Executing and monitoring FEC and Customer Due Diligence processes based on input from internal and external stakeholders.


• Defining research (problem and method), conducting investigations (data collection, analysis), and presenting findings (conclusions and rationale).


• Maintaining contact with internal stakeholders, understanding your environment, knowing the client’s situation, and identifying and discussing developments and needs related to service delivery.


• Actively participating in your team and projects. Together with your team, you are responsible for delivering results.




Practical Examples



• A client in the Food & Agri sector with a high-risk profile is due for their annual review. Your task is to assess which documents or information are missing to meet the requirements for the 2026 Periodic Review and evaluate whether the client’s risk has changed since the last review. Once the documents are collected, you draft the CDD report, analyze the client’s transactions, and assess their risk profile. The report is then reviewed by the Quality Control Team before final approval.


• An acquisition deal must be signed within five days. The prospective client has operations in Russia. You contact the Compliance department for advice and additional questions to ask the prospect. After obtaining the necessary answers, you request special approval from the business/Compliance.


• You encounter a transaction that does not align with the client’s business profile. You cannot explain it. After consulting colleagues who are also unfamiliar with such transactions, you reach out to the Advisory team. This leads to additional questions for the client, and eventually, you complete the CDD report. You present your case, the solution, and the escalation path to your team to raise awareness and share knowledge.

You and your talent



• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree


• Relevant experience in the financial sector (medior/senior level) with knowledge of AML, CDD, and WWFT


• Fluent in English (spoken and written). Proficiency in Dutch is a strong advantage


• Strong skills in time management, organization, communication, and relationship building


• Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment


• You are results-driven and pragmatic: you know when to push forward, even when not all the pieces are in place. You take ownership of your cases.
